Since our extended afternoon tea menu began to replace our formal lunch service in spring 2015, we have seen literally thousands of people passing through the doors of The Dower House Restaurant, all visiting to enjoy The Duke of York, The Elizabeth Montagu, The Royal Crescent or Children’s Afternoon Tea, all specially crafted by our talented kitchen and pastry team.
We have received so many wonderful testimonials with regards to our afternoon tea (in fact far too many to share) and although we don’t like to blow our own trumpet (much) at The RCH, here are a couple of examples of some great feedback that we really have enjoyed reading…
” We had a wonderful afternoon tea at the Royal Crescent in celebration of my mums birthday. The staff were wonderful with lovely tea recommendations and great service. Even the teenage kids enjoyed it.
Plenty of sandwiches to go around and fabulous cakes. By the end of two hours we were all well and truly stuffed.
The environment was lovely, informal and relaxed and the staff really did make the afternoon.
Would definitely recommend.”
Stayed December 2016, travelled with family
“The afternoon tea was splendid with attentive service, they seem to read your mind just before you ask for something.”
Whilst we believe our 2016 menu was completely out of this world, our team ethos is to always strive for continuous improvement. For this reason, Executive Head Chef David Campbell has worked alongside his team to develop a NEW 2017 menu that is sure to wow both returning and new guests alike.
We want to keep this menu a surprise until the launch, however, we thought we would allow you a sneak peek of one or two mouthwatering dishes that are too good not to share. Expect to see included…..
