One advantage of the lockdown is that it is giving most of us plenty of extra time to cook, and our Head Chef David Campbell (pictured above, at home) is particularly determined to keep his skills up to speed! He has whipped up this simple yet delicious dish, perfect for a healthy dinner any night of the week.
Last month, we celebrated Midsummer with a twilight supper in our private walled gardens. Full of the joys of Midsummer, the evening was a great success, raising £1000 for the Julian House charity. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous evening starting with drinks in the beautiful gardens, followed by a five course summer-inspired meal, enjoying the sound of an acoustic guitar with the faint popping of Taittinger Champagne corks in the background. Champagne was flowing, feet were tapping and tastebuds were tingling as guests sampled the finest British Summer produce.

Ronnefeldt Tea is delighted to supply the loose leaf teas you can enjoy during Afternoon Tea and in fact in any other outlet of the hotel, may it be in the Spa or with your hospitality tray should you be lucky enough to have booked a room for an overnight stay.
The loose leaf tea selection includes 12 carefully chosen varieties to cater for all taste preferences. Perhaps you are a lover of Darjeeling or you may prefer a strong, hearty Assam. There are green teas and caffeine-free options and of late we have added Masala Chai to the menu, a real treat especially if you order it as a Chai Latte.
If you are a real tea connoisseur, or are perhaps looking for a little souvenir, you can buy a Royal Crescent branded “Art of Tea” caddy that gives you a selection of eight tea samples and takes you on a journey to different tea origins….
